This is no Scandinavia, however:
Progressive tax structure, Republic of Chad:
If high tax rates were the magic wand to create a paradise, Chad would be one. The Republic of Chad, a nation of 12.45 million people in Africa, has the most progressive personal tax income in the world, as far as I know. It charges a 60 percent tax on income exceeding 6 million XAF (Central African CFA francs), which is slightly more than 12,500 US dollars. A progressive paradise, isn't it?
Regrettably, Chad enjoys a GDP of 885.11 USD per capita (2012 figures.) Not quite a paradise. I expect Western socialists to stay living in the capitalist hells where they were born and spoiled.
High tax rates do not create prosperity. Repeat it as many times as necessary.
