This is the U.S. GDP compared with the Eurozone GDP since 1995. Despite its numerous shortcomings, the statistics does reveal something important:
Obama is probably not the greatest leader United States ever had, but still he looks great in comparison to the EU non-leaders from Barroso to Merkel, from Cameron to the Finnish guy whose name I've never managed to remember.
Europe is doomed. It's weaker than anybody thinks. Worse yet, it does not even realise it's so weak.
In its newspeak, however, Eurostat calls the Eurozone economy "stable." Stability is the new term for stagnation. Cool.
