It's hardly surprising that Venezuela, Ukraine and Greece are considered to be the three riskiest sovereigns in the world. However, it keeps puzzling me that, e.g., Vietnam is perceived as safer than Portugal, Romania safer than Italy...
... Mexico safer than Spain, Poland safer than Japan, Czechia and Slovakia safer than France and Belgium...
Of course, Czechia should be perceived as safer than France, because Czech public finance is in a much better shape compared to many supposedly developed countries. Anyway, it's so very different from the world I used to know in my childhood and youth.
