"When we remember Guernica, Warsaw, Rotterdam and Lidice we should realise that that is how they would have treated us, only in a more intensive form, had it not been for the efficiency of the Royal Air Force, our defensive system, and our Civil Defence forces."
That was an "either—or" situation. Either we kill them or they kill us.
Today, it's the same thing. The difference is that they don't have the power to kill us yet. They can kill defenceless Christians and Yazidis in Syria and Iraq. They can fire unguided short-range missiles to Israel with the aim to kill and cause terror. They are not capable of destroying us in a direct conflict. We are not defenceless.
Unless we choose not to defend ourselves, our children, our civilisation.
